About iqbi
Are you ready to play a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable real estate?
iqbi is an innovator in automating, visualising, and monitoring ESG data for property investors and managers. We turn raw energy, heat, water, solar and other utility data into insights that help buildings perform better, both environmentally and financially.
The assignment
You’ll design and build a proof of concept (PoC) that applies machine learning and AI in a meaningful way within iqbi. The exact direction is open, but we expect a mix of research and application – something that works, not just a paper.
You’ll have access to iqbi’s internal datasets (energy, heat, water, solar and other utilities) and are encouraged to combine them with open-source data to create new insights or automate existing processes.
Some directions you could explore:
- Developing a model that turns complex consumption data into actionable insights for our clients
- Building an internal AI agent that automates or improves data validation and reporting
- Combining iqbi and open datasets to uncover trends in energy use or sustainability performance
- Exploring predictive models for building performance or tenant behaviour
This is not a theoretical assignment. You’ll have the chance to contribute to iqbi’s growing platform and to run your model or concept in production against real live data. You’ll work closely with our data scientists and developers to test, build and iterate your concept.

- A challenging graduation project with direct impact in sustainability and data
- Access to high-quality datasets and the freedom to experiment
- Support from experienced developers and data scientists
- A hybrid workspace in Utrecht with a relaxed, hands-on atmosphere
- A chance to contribute to iqbi’s platform and to see your model applied in production
